RIP Trey ‘AshTrey’ HeltEn

Beyond saving countless lives through overdose reversals and facilitating access to treatment services, Trey Helten profoundly transformed the Downtown Eastside with his art and unwavering support for fellow artists in the community. One of his final aspirations was to see a new mural realized in the DTES, and we are committed to helping the Overdose Prevention Society raise the necessary funds to bring his vision to life.

Love in the Time of Fentanyl would not exist without Trey. His contribution extended far beyond his presence in the film, encompassing every aspect of its production. While the film offers a glimpse into who Trey was, it barely scratches the surface of his immense contributions to his community and the extraordinary human being he was. Our deepest condolences go out to his family, the Overdose Prevention Society, and the DTES community. Rest in Paint AshTrey.
